We are a team of researchers from Nottingham Trent University (Bernard Dom), University of Essex (Ileana Steccolini), Speyer University (Sanja Korac) and Albert-Ludwigs-Universitaet Freiburg (Iris Saliterer), Germany, Aix Marseille University (Céline du Boys), France. In Italy, Carmela Barbera is the reference point for the research. We are developing a research project on ‘Local government financial resilience’, supported by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).
We are investigating how Local Government react to shocks and crises, and on which capacities they draw upon to inform their responses to them.
